The Straddie Salute Triathlon Festival is a unique destination event set in one of nature’s most spectacular playgrounds, North Stradbroke Island, just off the coast of Brisbane.

The Straddie Salute features a range of events suited to all abilities including a road triathlon, off-road triathlon, beginners triathlon, kids duathlon and a fun run.

It starts with the swim. The 750m course at Home Beach is sheltered by a headland which makes for light surf and crystal blue waters (and a handy right to left sweep!) After a short jog to transition the 20km cycle will take you on a sealed road through native forest from Point Lookout to Amity. Then there’s the run. Spectacular but tough! The 8.5km course takes you on an amazing all-terrain scenic tour of Point Lookout. Bitumen, gravel, trail, boardwalk, stairs and hard-pack sand, it’s all there to test your mettle – in one of nature’s most stunning playgrounds.
