Quandamooka Coast

QUANDAMOOKA COAST

`Immerse yourself in Indigenous culture“

A fully catered day cruise of traditional Yuggera & Quandamooka lands & waters accompanied by local Aboriginal guides.

At Meeanjin (Brisbane City), we head down Maiwar (Brisbane River) where guides share dreaming stories of the land and waters while we travel. Enjoy an intimate weaving circle, learning local Aboriginal language, didgeridoo playing and a display of ancient Indigenous artefacts on board.

From Maiwar, traditional Yuggera Country, we cruise into Quandamooka waters and continue across the bay to Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island).
On Minjerribah, we will be welcomed by the Quandamooka people and experience a traditional smoking ceremony. We will then travel by coach to Mooloomba (Point Lookout). In a stunning location we will enjoy a lunch of fresh local seafood followed by optional activities including boomerang
throwing, a guided cliff top Gorge Walk and wildlife sighting. In the afternoon the Yulu-Burri-Ba Dance Group will dance traditional songs by Bummiera, a fresh water tea-tree lake. On the return cruise to the city, local Aboriginal artwork and gifts will be available for purchase.

$195 per person – 6th of December 2017 Departing River Outlook Pontoon, Southbank Parklands, Brisbane at 9:00am
