Goompi Community NAIDOC Celebration – The Next Generation Strength, Vision and Legacy

Join in for a vibrant and inclusive celebration of culture, connection, and community at the Goompi Community NAIDOC event on Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island).

Held at the Dunwich State School Oval, this free, family-friendly event brings together First Nations and non-Indigenous community members to honour the 2025 NAIDOC theme “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy.”

Enjoy a rich program of traditional and contemporary Quandamooka performances, cultural workshops, bush tucker tastings, arts and crafts, storytelling, and interactive activities.

The day celebrates intergenerational knowledge-sharing, cultural pride, and reconciliation. All are welcome to experience the spirit of community and culture in one of Queensland’s most unique island settings.

All ages are welcome – families, students, Elders, and visitors are encouraged to attend.
